Formed in 2011 by five friends united by their passion for blues music, Heavy Petrol initially covered classic blues tracks. However, their enthusiasm and creativity soon led them down the path of songwriting and they released their debut album ‘Petrol Train’ in 2017. Driven by their unique blend of influences, including Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, and Joe Bonamassa, Heavy Petrol performed numerous concerts, gaining a significant level of popularity. Today, the band consists of six members: Woody on vocals and harmonica, Chris and Steve on guitars, Dan on bass, Konni on drums, and Elise on vocals. Their journey has seen them share stages with renowned artists such as Brother Dege & the Brotherhood of Blues, The Allman Betts Band, Ana Popovic, and Junior Mack. Heavy Petrol proudly represented Luxembourg at the European Blues Challenge 2019 in Ponta Delgada, Azores. Following the success of their debut, Heavy Petrol continued to captivate audiences with their second album ‘The Last Barrel’, released to critical acclaim in 2020. Their latest single, ‘Sirens,’ released in October 2022, delves into themes of temptation and introspection, showcasing their evolving musical style. Heavy Petrol is now poised for another exciting chapter as they prepare a new EP.
