“Jitz plays Sonny” is a jazz quartet that pays tribute to the legendary saxophonist Sonny Rollins by performing his compositions and songs. Sonny Rollins (*1930-09-07) is known for his innovative and influential contributions to the world of jazz, with a career spanning over seven decades. He is revered for his improvisational skills, unique sound, and dynamic performances. The quartet aims to capture the essence of Rollins’ music while also adding their own artistic interpretations to create a memorable and engaging musical experience for their audience.
