Bluebird Music ASBL is a Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation, founded on 13 October 2013 in Mamer by Jeff Herr, Tom Lehnert, Maxime Bender, Cédric Gilis, Jean-Mathieu Imbert and Hugo ‘Lata’ Gouveia. It is now headquartered in Luxembourg City.
Our association currently has 62 members, predominantly musicians. It also has 77 newsletter subscribers and has hosted 450 concerts since 4 September 2014 (as of 29 April 2025). It essentially curated concert series at Liquid Bar and several other small venues.
Origins
Bluebird Music ASBL arose from the dissolution of a previous association, Sharp 9 ASBL (F7835), which operated from 16 January 2009 to 22 April 2014 (RCS 2025). Sharp 9 ASBL primarily organised concert series at the Liquid Bar.

Concert venues
- Café Miche, Diekirch: Since March 2025, Bluebird Music ASBL is curating a concert series at Café Miche in Diekirch. Located in the pedestrian zone in the historic centre of the city of Diekirch, Café Miche is a trendy café-restaurant hosting a variety of cultural events.
- Collette Coffee Craft, Vianden: Since December 2024, Bluebird Music ASBL, in partnership with the City of Vianden, has been hosting a concert series at Collette Coffee Craft. Located in the former Hotel Collette in upper Vianden, opposite the Dicksgäertchen, Collette Coffee Craft is a coffee roastery, art gallery, and café that opened in 2023. “The Bluebird Coffee Sessions” are Sunday morning apéro-concerts, running from 11:00 to 12:15.
- Kasemattentheater, Luxembourg City: Occasionally, on selected dates since 2024, Bluebird Music ASBL organises jazz concerts in the Kasemattentheater.
- Liquid Bar, Grund district, Luxembourg City: Bluebird Music ASBL has organised concerts at Liquid Bar in the Grund district of Luxembourg City since 2014. After a five-year hiatus (2018-2023), they resumed presenting jazz and blues concerts in September 2024. A total of 259 concerts have been staged at Liquid Bar by Bluebird Music ASBL (as of 29 April 2025).

Festival stages
- Echterlive, Echternach: Since 2023, Bluebird Music ASBL curates concerts on a small open air stage at the yearly Echterlive festival organised by Trifolion.
- Fête de la Musique, Luxembourg-City: Bluebird Music ASBL has been involved in the Fête de la Musique since 2016, cooperating with the Service Événements, fêtes et marchés (Department of Events, Festivals and Markets ) and the Luxembourg City Tourist Office. On designated stages, school ensembles from various music schools, as well as up-and-coming bands and musicians, have showcased their musical talents (LCTO 2019).

- Alliance musicale: Bluebird Music ASBL is a founding and an active member of the Alliance musicale (Luxembourgish Association of Professional Music Organisations).
- Jazz-Club Trier e. V.: In 2025, Bluebird Music ASBL established a partnership with the German organisation Jazz-Club Trier to jointly organise future music festivals.
- Jazz-Initiative Eifel e. V.: Since 2024, Bluebird Music ASBL has collaborated with the German organisation Jazz-Initiative Eifel to facilitate the exchange of music bands within our programmes.
- SAM – Sounds Artists Management: Established in 2025, the Sounds Artists Management system SAM features comprehensive information on more than 100 bands from Luxembourg and the surrounding regions. SAM is an exclusive online tool designed to streamline the booking process for bands at various venues.
Statutes
Bluebird Music’s articles of association were signed on 13 October 2013 (Statutes 2013). The association was registered on 6 January 2014, under number F9795 in the Luxembourg Commercial Register (RCS 2024). A complete revision of the articles of association, in line with the new law of 7 August 2023, was approved by the Extraordinary General Meeting on 5 June 2024. These updated statutes were subsequently approved by the Luxembourg District Court in June 2024.
Website
Bluebird Music’s online presence began in June 2016 with a bespoke website at blue-bird.lu. This site is still archived on archive.org. A website redesign was implemented in February 2022, and the updated site launched on 4th February 2022.
