Luxembourgish Schlager in the style of the Comedian Harmonists
D’Cojellico’s Jangen are six close friends who have come together to revive the music of the ‘Roaring Twenties’ with their playful and witty lyrics and stories. Their favourite approach is to create new arrangements of so-called ‘Lëtzebuerger Stëmmungslidder’ and Schlager songs like Manyla or Dem Wirsch seng Wueden, as well as unfamiliar, unheard songs from the circle of the cheeky Poutty Stein, Jempy Welter, Sepp Thill & Co., and original compositions in the style of the era. Atmospherically rich, sociable, sophisticated, yet accessible. A special feature is that the concert is performed in Luxembourgish. Admission is free.
