KID COLLING CARTEL spielt im Bitburger Jazzclub
2012 gegründet, setzt sich das Kid Colling Cartel (benannt nach den kolumbianischen Wurzeln des Frontmanns) aus Kid Colling (Gesang und Gitarre), Alex Logel (Keyboard und Hammond Orgel), David Franco (Bass) und Florian Pons (Schlagzeug) zusammen. Unter der Stilbezeichnung „Alternativ Blues Rock“ spielt die Band größtenteils Collings eigene Kompositionen und wagt sich an verschiedene musikalische Genres heran wie etwa Groove, Funk und vor allem Rockmusik, ohne jedoch jemals ihre Blues-Ursprünge aufzugeben.
Ihre musikalische Verbundenheit und Harmonie auf der Bühne sind unverkennbar und Kid Colling, wenn auch in erster Linie ein Gitarrist, sticht durch seine unverwechselbare und anpassungsfähige Stimme hervor. Er legt Wert darauf, das Cartel nicht in eine stilistische Schublade zu stecken und ein breites Publikum, anstatt nur Blues-Liebhaber, anzusprechen.
2017 veröffentlichte das Kid Colling Cartel sein Debütalbum „In the Devil’s Court“. 2024 veröffentlichte die Band ein neues Album unter dem Titel ‘’Living on the Wild Side“ und rekrutierte Laurent Pisula an der 2. Gitarre.
A regular performer on stage and at major music festivals, Kid Colling has played numerous venues across Europe, including supporting acts for John Mayall, Aynsley Lister, Larry Carlton, Taj Mahal, and Keb Mo. With ingenuity, passion, and an infectious energy that is both powerful and delicate, Kid Colling embodies the world of alternative Blues Rock: a blend of blues and rock enriched with soul and a groovy rhythm. Influenced by guitarists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Black Keys, and Joe Bonamassa, Colling reflects his roots through the warmth and generosity of his sound and guitar playing. His creative approach to music, along with his groove and memorable melodies, establish him as a reference as a singer-songwriter within the blues rock scene.
